The 'Grey' line of tooling is designed specifically for cutting hardened/tool steels.
The 'Lapper' line is designed for aggressive flank roughing and machine tools capable of spindle speeds up to 20K rpm. It incorporates our proprietary flute surface treatment producing a high lubricity finish specially optimized to handle a wide variety of cutting conditions and our special blend of fully variable geometry (including helix, pitch, spacing, location and size). This line of cutting tools is not designed to produce finish surfaces, but rather to achieve maximum material removal rates using a relatively large depth of cut (full flank).
'N' form tools are simple corner-chamfered end mills. These are very similar to 'R' but with a chamfer instead of a radius. Note that square/flat end mills are classified under the 'R' form only.
