Product Features:
- Power Hydraulic Chuck, DIN 69893-1, HSK-A100
- Chuck body fine balanced G2.5 at 25.000 rpm or U < 1 gmm
- Runout accuracy < 3 µm
- In contrast to standard hydraulic chucks, Power Hydraulic Chucks feature a more rigid design. This makes them ideal for demanding rough milling operations, drilling applications, as well as for precise finish milling.
- Shank HSK-A according to DIN 69893-1
- Hydraulic chucks are a high-precision clamping technology. Their functionality is based on a hydraulic chamber that expands slightly during clamping, fixing the tool evenly and with high precision. They offer excellent runout accuracy and high vibration damping.
- Compact design and high rigidity
- High torque transmission
- Perfectly suitable for milling operations, thanks to radial rigidity and temperature resitance (up to 170 °C)
- Excellent vibration damping
- Tool changes in seconds without peripheral equipment
- With back-up screw, without coolant tube

Background Information:
The HSK system was invented in Germany in the 1990's and is now very commonly found in European machine tools and spindles. HSK stands for "Hohl Shaft Kegel" - "Hollow Shank Taper", and as the name implies this type of interface has a cavity running through it. Unlike classical 'pull-stud' designs (CAT, BT, SK etc), HSK uses an internal drawbar mechanism which results in clamping force increasing with rotational speed. Additionally, the form features dual contact; on an axial face and the cone (1:10), which puts HSK in the upper echelons of tool holder performance.
The HSK-A form is probably the most common in the HSK family, and features drive slots which serve both to increase torque capability and provide rotational indexing (unequal slots). External features provide an interface for automatic tool change grippers and carousels. There is a bore milled directly into the side of the interface for RFID chip placement, and a threaded internal passage for coolant-through operation.
Company History:
Family-owned since 1977, HAIMER has grown from a precision parts specialist into a global tooling solutions supplier with operations across Europe, North America, and Asia.
