Product Features:

- Heavy Duty Shrink Chuck, DIN 69893-1, HSK-A125

- Chuck body fine balanced G2.5 at 25.000 rpm or U < 1 gmm

- All functional surfaces fine machined

- More accurate than DIN

- Cool Jet, can be sealed

- Shrink fit chuck suitable to all high performance inductive shrink fit units.

- For heavy machining applications it is now possible to replace the Weldon tool holders finally. The Heavy Duty Chuck is the shrink fit chuck for extreme cases. The contour is optimized for highest rigidity and clamping force.

- Heat resistant hot-working steel

- Hardened 54 -2 HRC

- No deformation at the tool shank after shrink process

- High runout accuracy: 3 μm

- Reinforced outer contour

- With internal groove in the clamping bore

- With threaded holes in order to balance with balancing screws

- With Cool Jet bores that can be sealed (Thread M4) and 6 bores

- Higher coolant flow rate due to optimized coolant bores

- To shrink with all HAIMER Power Clamp 20 kW shrink fit units and shrink fit machines with 13 kW HD-Coil

- With backup screw

- For RPM higher 8000 U/min we recommend the optional cooling system Cool Flash. (on request)

Background Information:

The HSK system was invented in Germany in the 1990's and is now very commonly found in European machine tools and spindles. HSK stands for "Hohl Shaft Kegel" - "Hollow Shank Taper", and as the name implies this type of interface has a cavity running through it. Unlike classical 'pull-stud' designs (CAT, BT, SK etc), HSK uses an internal drawbar mechanism which results in clamping force increasing with rotational speed. Additionally, the form features dual contact; on an axial face and the cone (1:10), which puts HSK in the upper echelons of tool holder performance.

The HSK-A form is probably the most common in the HSK family, and features drive slots which serve both to increase torque capability and provide rotational indexing (unequal slots). External features provide an interface for automatic tool change grippers and carousels. There is a bore milled directly into the side of the interface for RFID chip placement, and a threaded internal passage for coolant-through operation.
